Samespace Social takes place on the last Wednesday of each month. At 7pm we open for drinks and nibbles, with presentations from two speakers beginning at around 8pm and finishing up an hour or so later... depending on how long the conversation goes on for!

The talks are about interesting business topics - no sales pitches, guaranteed! Questions and comments are encouraged :)

October's speakers:

Paul Dyson is often described as a "serial entrepreneur", but he thinks of himself as someone who, having failed to get a proper job, started a handful of businesses to allow him to pay the bills by doing work he was interested in, in the way he thought it should be done. He still work at one of these companies - as CTO at singletrack.com - as well as advising, and occasionally investing in, early-stage, North East technology start-ups. Paul's talk is entitled "A Tale of Three Start-ups; lessons learned from a failure and two successes".

Coach and mentor Susan Bell is a highly accomplished business leader with 28 years experience in SME and Corporates including as CEO of Durham-based tech consultancy Waterstons. Susan's passion is for achieving commercial success through modern leadership, empowerment, collaboration and innovation. She will talk about the importance of culture and values in business, with some cautionary tales!

If you'd like to come along, there's a fee of £15. Proceeds go to Tynedale Hospice at Home.
